Project: Residential dwelling, Yorke Peninsula SA
Location: Yorke Peninsula, SA
Location Challenges: The site for the house, on Yorke Peninsula, SA, is near the sea and quite windy so it was critical to select the right grade of roof fixings. The positioning of the house on the site was important to allow the owners to enjoy the view, as well as have areas with good aspects out of the wind.
Design Aspects: The Rosaklis build is similar to the Dunn house project (ref Clayton house). Timber roof trusses were used to allow a curved span, without needing to roll the corrugated iron, a very economical option.
Specialist Expertise: Unfortunately the builder went bankrupt during the build, however EnvironArc were able to assist the owners with their insurance claims and the house was completed successfully.
