Project: Residential Dwelling, American River
Location: American River, Kangaroo Island, SA
Design Aspects: This house is one of a number of homes designed for Kangaroo Island. This particular home has some unique interior design features, with an open space plan to take advantage of the stunning views.
Environmental Innovation: The house is built on a hill and a number of rainwater tanks are ranged beneath to harvest rainwater. There are alternate power systems going to the grid to minimise the cost of electricity. The Comfort Glass used extensively for the build complies with GBCA glazing standards and is one of many green building initiatives introduced.
Specialist Expertise: With EnvironArc project management the house was built on time and on budget.
