Design for Environmental Sustainability
We are the ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Development) consultant to “Hands Across the Water”, applying Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) principles.
“Hands” is an Asian reconstruction initiative following the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004. Our consultancy service assists the design of a range of new orphanages across Thailand and throughout Asia.
White Orchid Foundation
We provide architectural, sustainability and environmental services for a number of new schools, including accommodation for disadvantaged girls throughout Asia.
We are extremely pleased to assist this Foundation which, after rescuing girls from sometimes horrific situations, then teaches and trains them for worthwhile roles in their community.
Local Government Association
For a number of years, EnvironArc Design has been a Gold or Platinum level sponsor of Local Government conferences, showcases and Annual General Meetings.
A business card draw for a Wollemi Pine has become synonymous with EnvironArc Design’s presence.
The LGA AGM and associated sessions are forums for local government personel to learn about key issues and participate in discussions on the important topics such as:
- Sustainability and water
- Bushfire management and risk
- Local government accountability
- Public health sanitation
The event is important in encouraging good policy and practices and sound environmental stewardship in the community.
An EnvironArc Design business stand has been at these events, where elected members and council staff can access information on the many and varied services we provide.
Eastern Fleurieu School, Strathalbyn Campus
For many years, EnvironArc Design has sponsored the school’s Australian Business Week (ABW) activities, including the awarding of a trophy, funding and mentorship. Additionally, we have supported the school’s Hydrogen Car Project and their LEEP (Leading Enterprise Education Partnerships) project.
