EnvironArc Design ABSA Service

The EnvironArc Design ABSA assessor is a Trained Thermal Performance assessor through the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA).

Our assessor initially conducts thermal performance assessments by providing advice about potential problems, improvements, material selections, orientation, glazing, insulation and shading.

In conjunction with the building designer, the assessor incorporates environmental considerations into the design from the first sketch, or can review and report on existing plans and drawings.

Assessors are trained and examined by ABSA, as part of the SA State Government determined computer software package First Rate v5. Assessments ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) or SA Housing Code.

By inputting a commercial or house design into this program, building plans are analysed, and then EnvironArc Design can offer practical and cost-effective ways to improve the performance of your building. The resulting benefits assist to eliminate any costly changes to non-compliant plans.

An ABSA assessor, must undertake thorough training and have successfully completed an examination. The EnvironArc Design assessor is committed to a high standard of service provision.

EnvironArc Design is backed by Professional Indemnity Insurance and meets ABSA requirements for quality assurance, including continuing professional development and being subject to regular ABSA auditing.
