This house has a self sufficient energy generation system, and excellent insulation design. A curved roof house on a windy seaside site still allows the owners great views and shelter from the breezes. A beautiful, fucntional house that is relevant to the location, maximising solar heat gain in winter, and having an abundance of natural light & fresh air, rain water and a low maintenance method of treating waste water. The design is for an expanded multi-purpose facility for the Campbelltown City Council with minimal impact on community environments. This building was designed to accommodate three uses. Multiple cladding options were used which compliment each other and minimise cost. This home has been designed with rammed earth external walls, in floor heating and maximum thermal qualities so airconditioning is not required, Use of natural stone and Colorbond mini-orb external cladding. Maximise stunning views over Finniss River, whilst wrapping home around existing swimming pool. This design shows the maximum roof curvature allowable without the cost of rolling. It also includes a curved timber truss roof. |
